I was reading about the possible arrival date of iPHONE in India and its price. Well, the good news is that Apple is planning a launch in September 2008, though the management of Vodafone, Airtel, and APPLE are tight-lipped about it.

As for the cost, it can vary from 18,000 to 28,000 depending on the contract and contract-free options. Pretty steep for us but then Apple is planning to push in the largest no. of iPHONES in India in the world, which will make it easier to get!

[P.S. After the latest firmware (1.1.13) update to iphone, it has become nearly impossible to crack/unlock! So, forget about porting it from Singapore or China. It's not gonna work bro!]

Man, stag entry in India would mean that the disc would be full of nothing but guys trying to meet (and/or grope) girls. By enforcing a no stag rule (or by providing incentives to ensure you don’t go stag - eg. if it costs you the same amount to go stag as to take a girl along), the clubs maintain their hip image and ensure an equitable sex ratio inside.

And that’s the same reason why stag entry for girls (ugly or otherwise) is allowed free in some discs. From the POV of the disc, its a win-win situation in India.

Consider what would happen if the stag rule suddenly disappears one fine day. No guy with an ounce of sense will take his girl there and the stag girls would stay away, fearing vulgarity. Net result - in a week the disc is transformed into a room full of frust guys hoping to pick up chicks. In a month, the place goes out of business.
